Festival of Colors!
Hare Krishna! So this past weekend I traveled down to Spanish Fork for the annual Festival of Colors at the Hare Krishna temple. Oh man it was craziness! Every year in March there is a huge religious celebration where they throw colorful chalk everywhere, on everything and everybody. It was awesome!
It seemed a little Woodstockish ha ha. There was mud and litter everywhere, but no one cared. People were crowd surfing, dancing and chanting to Indian music. We got covered in the colorful chalk, bright oranges, yellows, purples, pinks and greens. My hair still has hints of pink in it. The huge throwing was the best. Everyone threw all their chalk up at once, I couldn't see or breath, but I imagine that it looked amazing, and we were all totally covered head to toe after that.
