Draft SNC Treatment

Draft Treatment

Stokes Nature Center
435-755-3239

Starting in March of 2011 it is proposed that Stokes Nature Center (SNC) launch a public service announcement campaign.  This will be accomplished through TV and radio ads airing throughout Cache Valley.

SNC’s mission is to provide opportunities for students of all ages to explore, learn and develop appreciation and stewardship for our natural world.  By using audio and visuals showing excitement thru education of the environment, residents will become aware of the SNC and its various activities.

The reach of this project would be students, parents and teachers.  We want to motivate all ages to come visit the SNC.  Through the radio and television commercials we want to help students understand that they can make a difference in our world today.  It doesn’t matter how old or young, everyone and anyone can make a difference.

For the future of our planet we must start now to educate our children so that our world will be not only be appreciated but preserved for our posterity.  Our aim is to reach out to parents, teachers and community leaders  to promote impact and encourage students to visit the SNC.

Here at SNC we want the community to become involved and educated of our environment.  It is important for the community to be involved in what is happening in their neighborhood, city and county.  Taking visits at the SNC helps to provide that education needed to not only help and impact themselves but it also helps them learn how to treat the environment.  Seeing the world through a new perspective is our goal here at SNC.

These ads will run on various local stations throughout Cache Valley as well as during news broadcasts on channel 2, 4 and 5 on TV.  The total cost for this public service announcement campaign is $7,000.

Stokes Nature center is a non-profit organization.  Located just a mile up Logan Canyon, Stokes Nature Center has been around for almost a century providing natural experiences for Cache Valley residents.
